Martha Pike Mcrae

MRS. MARTHA P. McRAE Mrs. Martha Pike McRae, 81, of LaGrange and formerly of Hogansville, died Friday, October 7, 2011, at LaGrange Nursing and Rehabilitation. Born January 13, 1930, in LaGrange, Mrs. McRae was the daughter of the late Lewis and Ada Brazell Pike. She was a graduate of Piedmont Hospital Nursing School in Atlanta and was a retired registered nurse. She lived in Hogansville for thirty years before making her home in LaGrange in 2005, and was a member of Hogansville Church of God. Survivors include her husband, Richard McRae of Hogansville; daughter and son in-law, Sharon and Peter Bissett of LaGrange; sisters, Beula Smith of Macon, Carolyn Perkins and Louise Brown, both of LaGrange; brothers, Bill Pike of Albany and Richard Pike of LaGrange; grandson, Leslie Keith Bishop of LaGrange; and great-grandchildren, Dawson J. Bishop and Leslie Kayden Bishop. At the request of Mrs. McRae, the body has been cremated and there will be no memorial service. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
