Mrs. Martha Williamson Hale, 81, of Hogansville, passed away Thursday, September 26, 2019, at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta.
Mrs. Hale was bon May 30, 1938, in Hogansville, daughter of the late Jack and Annie Mae Turner Williamson. A resident of Hogansville most of her life, she retired from Uniroyal, Inc. and then was employed by Shackelford Bookkeeping and the Hogansville School System. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and First Baptist Church on the Square in LaGrange, where she was active in Sunday School and was a member of New Horizon Senior Adult Choir.
Survivors include her son, Jody Hale of Hogansville; sisters, Shirley and Bill Baker of Acworth, Becky and Jimmy Carden, Ellen and Sammy Hubbard, all of Hogansville, Bobbie and Jeffery Williams of Statesboro; granddaughters, Melissa Dudzinski of Charleston, SC and Megan Hale of Vinings; and a great-grandson, Joseph Dudzinski. She was preceded in death by her husband, Nathan Hale.
The funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, September 28, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend James Skipworth will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Friday night.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Operation Christmas Child at First Baptist Church on the Square in LaGrange.
