Mrs. Marion Barber Reeves, 84, of Sharpsburg, passed away Wednesday, November 7, 2018, at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital.
Mrs. Reeves was born January 5, 1934, in Meriwether County, daughter of the late Carl and Mary Cook Barber. A resident of Coweta County for the past 45 years, she was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and was a homemaker, who enjoyed cooking, reading, and trips to the beach. She was also a member of Silver Slippers Gym, and looked forward to exercising there three times each week.
Survivors include her children, Rebecca Marion O'Neal and her husband Wayne, Edwin Gerald Reeves, Sr. and his wife Candy, all of Luthersville, Cynthia Ann St. John and her husband Michael, Patricia Ellen Patterson and her husband Jacky, all of Newnan; brother, Cecil Barber of Luthersville; brother in-law, James Tant of Riverdale; ten grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Gerald Edgar Reeves; and her sister, Peggy Tant.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 10, at the graveside in Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in the Rocky Mount Community of Meriwether County, with the Reverend Norman Goss officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Friday night.
