MRS. MARIENA BOATWRIGHT Mrs. Mariena Griffin Boatwright, 74, of LaGrange, died Friday, August 16, 2013, at her home. The family will host a memorial service at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 24, at God's Open Door Church of Praise in LaGrange, with Pastor Darrell Scott officiating. The family will receive friends at the church immediately before and after the service. Mrs. Boatwright was born August 30, 1938, in Roanoke, Alabama, daughter of the late Arthur and Cynthia Griffin. A resident of LaGrange most of her life, she retired from Milliken and Co, from Interface Flooring, and from Belk's, and was a member of God's Open Door Church of Praise. She was a hard worker, was a good and loving mother, loved gospel music, and attended many gospel singings. Survivors include her daughter, Elaine Austin of LaGrange; son Harold Dwayne Collins of Brandenburg, KY; grandchildren, Brandy Lynn Collins and Michael Dwayne Collins; six great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and sisters, Agnes Lorene Greathouse and Opal Dean Drake, both of LaGrange. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Helen Griffin Gilbert, Margaret Griffin Gilbert, Regina Griffin; and brothers, T.L. Griffin, A.D. Griffin, Yancey Griffin. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home, Hogansville. Services: 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 24th, at God's Open Door Courts of Praise in LaGrange
