Marie Jenkins Ramsey

Mrs. Marie Jenkins Ramsey, 77, of the Corinth Community of Heard County, passed away Sunday, February 14, 2016, at her home. Mrs. Ramsey was born April 10, 1938, in Atlanta, daughter of the late John Thomas Jenkins and Melrose Babington Jenkins. She had lived at Corinth for the past thirty years and enjoyed taking care of her animals. She was a retired truck driver and she and her late husband, W. L. Ramsey, had served as an over-the-road truck driving team for Werner Enterprises. Survivors include her daughters, Teresa Lynn Donnelly of Prescott, AZ, Debora Watson of Corinth, and Sandra Lee McKown of Indianapolis, IN; grandchildren, Stephen Clark, Tabitha Towns, Tiffany Watson, Shane Ramsey, April Ramsey,Tommy Beckner; and five great-grandchildren. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 17, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Terry Rainwater will officiate and interment will be in the Corinth Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12 until 2 Wednesday afternoon. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
