MRS. MARIE BISHOP
Mrs. Marie Maxwell Bishop, 87, of Manchester, passed away, Thursday, September 10, 2015, at her home.
Mrs. Bishop was born August 27, 1928, in Atlanta, daughter of the late James Noble Maxwell and Eula Hale Maxwell. A homemaker and long-time resident of Hogansville, she lived in Oklahoma before returning to Georgia in 1995.
Survivors include her daughters, Donna Phillips of Greenville, Debbie and Bill Dollar of Hogansville, Lisa Haas of Manchester, Robin Garrison and Lee Hines of Franklin, Jody and Jim Murray of Sevierville, TN; step-daughter, Susan and Vince Gehlbach of Elizabeth, IN; brothers, Pete and Geneva Maxwell of Ranburne, AL, Jerry and Jan Maxwell of Manchester; 22 grandchildren; and 34 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Henry F. Haas and George W. Bishop, Jr.; and her daughter, Terri Haas Vaughn.
A memorial service will be conducted at 4:30 p.m., Tuesday, September 15, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville, with Dr. Clinton Hughes officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Monday night.
