Marie Elaine Dalton

May 11, 1957 — November 19, 2019

Marie Elaine Dalton, 62, of LaGrange, passed away Tuesday, November 19, 2019, at Wellstar West Georgia Medical Center. Ms. Dalton was born May 11, 1957, in Point Pleasant, NJ, daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth Strickland Dalton. A resident of Georgia since 1984, she was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church in LaGrange and had been employed as a customer service representative. Marie enjoyed helping others, was very empathetic and pleasant, and would always volunteer for a good cause, especially for any activity associated with St. Peter's. She loved the holidays and was a single mother who did an excellent job of raising her son. Survivors include her son, Joshua Dalton of LaGrange; her longtime companion, Stephen Coratti of LaGrange; sisters, Frances and Robert Johnson of Hogansville, Elizabeth Shirey and Bobby Marcum of Shiloh, Lauraleah and John Stroud of Shelton, CT; brothers, Joseph Dalton, Daniel Dalton and Donna Wallace all of Warm Springs, Timothy and Bonnie Dalton of LaGrange; and a number of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. A memorial mass will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, at St. Peter's Catholic Church in LaGrange, with the rosary at 1:30 p.m. The family will receive friends following the service at the church. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is assisting the family of Ms. Dalton.
