Marie Hodges Couch

Mrs. Marie Hodges Couch, 89, of Hogansville, passed away Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at Hospice LaGrange.

Mrs. Couch was born July 19, 1935, in Franklin, daughter of the late Newton Alec Hodges and Lena Mae Moman Hodges. A resident of Troup County most of her life, she was a member of Lighthouse Tabernacle of Jesus Christ in Hogansville, and was employed by West Point Pepperell and Kleen-Tex Industries in LaGrange, prior to her retirement. She later served as a private-duty caregiver.

Survivors include her sons, Charles "Randy" Richardson (Lisa) and Rodney Ball (Karen); daughter in-law, Carol Chase; grandchildren, Kimberly Carson, Jamie Richardson, Alec Richardson, Kenneth Chase, Jr., Deanna Long, Rosa Chase, Jade Vital; sixteen great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; brother, Luther Lawrence Hodges; and several nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Carol Lindley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy C. Couch; sons, Kenneth Chase and Louie Gene Ball, Jr.; sisters, Kathryn Williamson and Lela Arrington; and brother, Merle Hodges.

A memorial service will be conducted at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, February 23, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville, with the Reverend Robert Longshore officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m., Sunday, prior to the service.
