Maridelle Gill Wilbanks

Mrs. Maridelle Gill Wilbanks, of Canton and formerly of Grantville, passed away Tuesday, March 16, 2021, at her home. Mrs. Wilbanks was born March 14, 1931, in Grantville, daughter of Christopher Lamar Gill and Belle Maddox Gill. She was a member of Grantville First United Methodist Church. Survivors include her daughters and sons in-law, Melanie and John Kuykendall of Canton, Pamela and Jim Harvard of Marble Hill; grandchildren, Brooks Harvard and his wife Lindsey Harvard of Canton, Savanna Harvard Andrews and her husband Jake Andrews of Greenville, SC; and five great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Captain (USAF) Gaines G. Wilbanks; and her sons, Gaines G. Wilbanks, Jr. and Christopher H. Wilbanks. The funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 20, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville, with interment in Oak Hill Cemetery in Newnan. The family will greet friends at the funeral home prior to the service. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
