MRS. MARGIE McDOWELL Mrs. Margie McDowell, 69, of LaGrange, died Wednesday, February 26, 2014, at Hospice LaGrange. A memorial service will be conducted at 5:00 p.m., Friday, February 28, at the graveside in Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Hogansville. Mrs. McDowell was born March 7, 1944, in LaGrange, daughter of the late James David Kent and Hixie Fuller Kent Searels. She lived in Troup County most of her life, was employed in textiles for a number of years, and was a homemaker. Survivors include her daughters and sons in-law, Tina and James Overton of LaGrange, Debra and David Tyler of Grove City, OH; son, Andrew Jackson McDowell III of LaGrange; sisters and brothers in-law, Toni and Mike Hilley of Williamson, Brenda Autry and Grover Crider of Hogansville; brothers and sisters in-law, Micky and Mary Searels of DeRidder, LA, Danny and Vickie Searels, Terry and Gail Searels, all of Hogansville, Jerry Kent of LaGrange; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew J. McDowell, Jr.; infant son, Robert Allen McDowell; and brothers, Ronnie Kent and David Kent. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements. Services: 5:00 p.m., Friday, February 28th, at the graveside Interment: Myrtle Hill Cemetery
