Mrs. Margaret Amason Hill, 75, of LaGrange, passed away Tuesday, December 31, 2024, at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, AL
Mrs. Hill was born June 15, 1949, in LaGrange, daughter of the late James Amason and Ila Mae Hooker Amason. A resident of Troup County most of her life, she was a graduate of West Georgia Technical College, was a member of Cedarcrest Church in LaGrange, and was a retired retail store manager. She enjoyed crafts, and especially loved crocheting, knitting, and making earrings.
Survivors include her sister, Evelyn Sanders of Five Points, AL; nephew, Robert Molyneaux; niece, Jennifer Cook and her children, Hope, Shawn, Katherine, and Elizabeth; and step-children, Jenna and Caleb. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Hill.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 3, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. Pastor Paul Botica will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., Friday, prior to the service.
