Mrs. Margaret Crook, 87, of Graham, Alabama, passed away Wednesday, February 21, 2024, the home of her granddaughter in LaGrange.
Mrs. Crook was born March 30, 1936, in Highlander on the European island of Jersey, daughter of the late Philip John Luce and Kathleen Lemarqq Luce. She lived in many locations during her late husband's military career and made her home in Randolph County, AL in 1978, following his retirement. She had an entrepreneurial spirit and had worked as a realtor and had owned and operated an office and business supply company in Roanoke. She had enjoyed RV traveling around the country and had served on the speaker's bureau of the Fully Informed Jury Association.
Survivors include her daughter, Linda Padolsky of Roswell; grandchildren, Katie Folds and her husband Patrick Folds of LaGrange, Kevin Porter and his wife, Jessica Porter of Savannah, Ben Padolsky, John Padolsky, Sarah Johnson, and Randy Spivey; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, retired Major William Harold Crook; daughters, Audrey Martin and Kathie Bollen; and grandson, Brandon Martin.
The funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Friday, February 23, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Aaron McCollough will officiate and interment will be in Bethlehem Campground Methodist Church Cemetery in Graham, AL.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. Friday, prior to the service.
