Margaret Pitts Barnett

Mrs. Margaret Vonciel Barnett, 86, of Moreland, passed away Friday, May 24, 2019, at Avalon Health and Rehabilitation Center in Newnan. Mrs. Barnett was born September 28, 1932, in LaGrange, daughter of the late George Ollie Pitts and Hixie Irene Segrest Pitts. A resident of Coweta County most of her life, she was a homemaker and was a longtime member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Moreland. Survivors include her husband, Harold Barnett of Moreland; daughter and son in-law, Sylvia and Tommy Yeager of Newnan; sons and daughters in-law, Tom and Cindy Barnett, Allen and Janet Barnett, all of Moreland; grandchildren, Marvin Yeager, Lesley Yeager, Errin Beard and her husband Daniel, Andrew Barnett and his wife Jessica, and Kyle Lovell; great-grandchildren, Makenzie Barnett and Liam Barnett. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Monday, May 27, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend David Arrington and the Reverend Mike Holdredge will officiate and interment will be in the Barnett Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Sunday night. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
