MRS. MAECENIES ROBINSON Mrs. Maecenies Phillips Robinson, 88, of Hogansville, died Thursday, October 2, 2008, at Healthfield Hospice in Jonesboro. A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, October 12, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville, with the Reverend Max McCord officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 until 2 Sunday afternoon. Born February 24, 1920, in Langdale, Alabama, Mrs. Robinson was the daughter of the late Lewis Gregory Phillips and the late Allie Gay Phillips. She lived in Hogansville most of her life, was retired from Uniroyal, Inc., and was a member of Highland Baptist Church. A very talented cook, she enjoyed gardening, decorating, and sharing her talents with others. Survivors include her daughter and son in-law, Lenore and Robert "Bobby" Hammett of Riverdale; sister, Lois Langford of Griffin; brother, Lewis G. Phillips, Jr. of Brooks; sister in-law, Mildred Phillips of Hogansville; granddaughters, Holly Campbell, and her husband Greg, of Lake Spivey and Heather Polson of McDonough; great-grandchildren, Sydney Polson, Katelyn Polson, and Cole Campbell; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard "Doc" Robinson; brother, Thaniel Phillips;  sister in-law, Mavis Phillips;  and brother in-law, Herman Langford. The Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements. Visitation: from 1 until 2, Sunday afternoon, October 12th Services: 2:00 p.m., Sunday, October 12th
