Lynne Shirley Defriece

Mrs. Lynne Shirley Defriece, 83, of Douglasville, passed away Saturday, September 23, 2023, at Anderson Mill Center for Nursing and Healing in Austell.

Mrs. Defriece was born January 20, 1940, in Lewis County, Washington, daughter of the late Herbert and Pansy Emma Blair Snodgrass. She served as a western ranch hand in her younger years, was employed as a manager for Franz Bakery for 16 years, and then enjoyed traveling the country with her husband, who was a long-distance truck driver. She loved all of her grandchildren, was Methodist by faith, and enjoyed cooking and knitting blankets, shawls, and doilies. Mrs. Defriece loved to carry on a conversation with everyone.

Survivors include her husband and best friend, Maynard Franklin Defriece of Douglasville; daughter, Lori (Bob) Miller of Bend, OR; step-daughter, Sherri Defriece of Villa Rica; sisters, Sandra and Suzie; and her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughters, Shelley and Tamara; her son Ron; and her brothers, Richard and Norman.

The family is honoring Mrs. Defriece's wishes that there be no memorial service conducted.
