Mrs. Lynn Bennett Piecuch, 72, of LaGrange, passed away Friday, November 21, 2025, at Hospice LaGrange.
Mrs. Piecuch was born January 31, 1953, in Hogansville, daughter of the late Carl Bonner Bennett and Etta Mae Vineyard Bennett. She was a 1971 graduate of Hogansville High School, where she was Homecoming Queen and a cheerleader, and was a resident of Indiana for a number of years before returning to Troup County. As a child, she enjoyed fishing and board games, and as an adult, she loved nature, bird-watching, traveling, caring for her home, and being present for her children. Lynn was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church in LaGrange.
Lynn is survived by her husband, John Piecuch of LaGrange; son, Scott and Kendra Jeter of Hogansville; daughter, Stacy and Andy Fookes of Hoover, AL; step-daughter, Linda Hershberger of Goshen, IN; grandchildren, Brittany Miller, Damon Hershberger, Jack Jeter, Liam Fookes, Lylah Kate Jeter; great-grandchildren, Sydney Miller and Hazel Hershberger; and her sister, Deanna and Andy King of Snellville.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 25, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in LaGrange, with Father Timothy A. Gadziala officiating. Interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Hogansville.
The family will receive friends at St. Peter’s from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m., Tuesday, prior to the service.
