MRS. LYNDA H. ALLEN Mrs. Lynda Lynn Hester Allen, 66, of Hogansville, died Wednesday, June 3, 2009, at West Georgia Medical Center in LaGrange. A memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 6, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville, with the Reverend Frank Sledge officiating. Mrs. Allen was born December 18, 1942, in Hogansville, daughter of the late Martin and Elmira Abbott Hester. She was a lifelong resident of Hogansville, was a member of Highland Baptist Church, and retired as a licensed practical nurse from West Georgia Medical Center. Survivors include her husband, John Allen; sons and daughter in-law, David Allen and Stephen and Michelle Allen, all of Hogansville; sister, Annie Jo Richardson of Jonesboro; brother, Jerry Hester, of California; and grandchildren, Hannah Allen, Christopher Allen, and Samantha Allen. She was preceded in death by her brothers, David Hester and Michael Hester. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements.
