MRS. LUCY MITCHELL Mrs. Lucy Houston Stone Mitchell, 99, of Morrow, died Monday, November 22, 2010, at Southern Regional Medical Center in Riverdale. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 24, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Jim Taylor will officiate and interment will be in Southview Cemetery in Moreland. Born October 13, 1911, in Moreland, Mrs. Mitchell was the daughter of the late Marcus Houston and the late Edelle Lee Houston Rosser. She graduated from Hogansville High School in 1928 and lived in Hogansville until making her home in Clayton County in 1966. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Hogansville, and through the years, enjoyed reading, gardening, being at the beach, and participating in the Joy Club in Jonesboro. Survivors include her daughter, Paula Sherrer of Morrow; twin sons and their wives, Mark and Bobbie Stone of Locust Grove, Clark and Cherry Stone of Lake Junaluska, NC; grandchildren, Pam Sherrer, Michael Stone, David Stone, Andrea Herron, Venisa Stone, Katie Fisher, Lee Howard; great-grandchildren, Christopher Edwards, Taylor Stone, Mark Stone, Ava Fisher, Olivia Fisher. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements. Visitation: from 6 until 9 Tuesday night, November 23rd, at Claude A.
