MRS. LUCY CREWS Mrs. Lucy Crews, 82, of Newnan, died Friday, October 1, 2010, at her home. The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Monday, October 4, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Terry Calhoun will officiate and interment will be in Faith Baptist Church Cemetery in the Primrose Community of Meriwether County. Mrs. Crews was born March 23, 1928, in Meriwether County, daughter of the late Grover Cleveland and Leila Mae Moore Calhoun. A resident of Newnan for the past 35 years, she attended Family Worship Center in Hogansville and enjoyed flower gardening, cooking, and caring for her children and family. Survivors include her daughter and son in-law, Joyce and William Gann of Luthersville; sons and daughter in-law, Rev. James and Sherry Calhoun and William Crews, all of Newnan; sister, Mildred Bishop of Newnan; 9 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ben Crews, and her sons, Stevie Crews and Benjamin Crews. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements. Visitation: from 4 until 8 Sunday afternoon, October 3rd, at Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home Services: 11:00 a.m., Monday, October 4th, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home Interment: Faith Baptist Church Cemetery in the Primrose Community of Meriwether County
