MRS. LUCILLE FLOURNOY BRASWELL
Mrs. Lucille Flournoy Braswell, 98, of Luthersville, died, Friday, December 4, 2009, at Piedmont Newnan Hospital.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, December 6, at Luthersville Baptist Church. The Reverend Joe Felder and the Reverend Tommy Worthey will officiate and interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Newnan.
Mrs. Braswell was born May 27, 1911, in Meriwether county, daughter of the late Leonard and Missouri Garrett Hancock. Before making her home in Luthersville in 1995, she lived in Newnan and was a member of East Newnan Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughters, Evelyn Spivey of Hogansville, Sara O'Neal of Alvaton, Mae Barber of Luthersville, and Gladys Bishop of Newnan; her sons, Hubert Flournoy and Bobby Flournoy, both of Newnan, Charles Flournoy of Luthersville, and Billy Flournoy of Moreland; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Hubert Earl Flournoy and Donald Braswell; and her sons, Hugh E. Flournoy and Thomas J. Flournoy.
Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements.
