MRS. LUCILE C. BROCK Mrs. Lucile Cleveland Brock, 80, of Hogansville, died Wednesday, October 19, 2011, at home with her family by her side. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 22, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Willow Heim will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Friday night. Mrs. Brock was born December 7, 1930, in Opelika, Alabama, daughter of the late Robert Olin and Mirl Rice Cleveland. She lived in Hogansville most of her life, was retired from Uniroyal, Inc. after 25 years of service, and was a devoted member of St. James United Methodist Church, where she served as lay leader and was involved in all activities of the church. Mrs. Brock was known for her baked goods and, along with her husband, she participated in the Troup County Farmer's Market every year and had served on the board of directors. Survivors include her husband, Dennis Brock of Hogansville; daughter and son in-law, Carol and Bubba Pittman, of Hogansville; sons and daughters in-law, Greg and Cynthia Brock of Sarasota, FL, Brad and Denee Brock, Bobby and MaryJane Cleveland, all of LaGrange; sister, Terry Hartman of Ringgold; and seven grandchildren, Kristin and Carl Holden, James and Alyssa Pittman, Amanda and Bret Barnes, Madison Brock, Elizabeth Brock, Charmaine Cleveland, and Britni Cleveland. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Visitation: from 6 until 8 Friday night, October 21st, at Claude A.
