MR. LORENZO WILLIAMSON
Mr. Lorenzo Williamson, 90, of Greenville, died Friday, June 21, 2013, at Upson Regional Medical Center in Thomaston.
The funeral service will be conducted at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, June 23, at the graveside in the Greenville Cemetery, with the Reverend Tim Hosmer officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 until 3 Sunday afternoon.
Mr. Williamson was born February 9, 1923, son of the late Benjamin Alfred Williamson and the late Cora Lee Williamson. A veteran of service in the U. S. Army during World War Two, he lived in Meriwether County most of his life and was a member of New Friendship Baptist Church at Woodbury. He retired from Crown, Cork, and Seal in Atlanta after twenty years of service.
Survivors include his son and daughter in-law, Larry and Sandra Williamson of Greenville; grandsons and their wives, Keith and Connie Williamson of Columbus, Scott and Shiela Williamson of Rincon, Josh and Tara Williamson of Kathleen; twelve great-grandchildren; sisters, Kay and James (BoBo) Owens, Joann Amerson, both of Woodbury; and brother, Aaron Williamson, also of Woodbury. He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Birdie Lee Baird Williamson.
Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements.
