Lorene Shivers Kelley

MRS. LORENE S. KELLEY Mrs. Lorene Shivers Kelley, 76, of Greenville, passed away Sunday, June 27, 2021, at Hospice LaGrange. Mrs. Kelley was born May 28, 1945, in Valley, AL, daughter of the late Henry Gladstone Shivers and Mamie Leak Shivers. A longtime resident of Greenville, she retired from the Dunson Division of West Point Pepperell, was a member of Greenville Presbyterian Church, and enjoyed genealogical research. Survivors include her son, Thomas Johnston of Greenville; daughters in-law, Carol Johnston of Manchester, Deanna Kelley of LaGrange; grandchildren, Samantha Harper (Christopher), Jessica Davidson (Zachary), Melissa Johnston, Douglas Johnston (Lane), Josh Kelley; great-grandchildren, Tynan Johnston, Trenton Wimbush, Callie Wimbush, Emma Johnston, Rosemary Coss. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Charles Kelley, Sr.; her sons, Henry Joel (Joey) Johnston and Robert Charles (Chuck) Kelley, Jr.; brothers, Robert Doss Shivers, Coven Reynolds Shivers; and sister, Frances Elizabeth (Liz) Baker. The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 30, at the Greenville Presbyterian Church. Dr. Bob Patterson will officiate and interment will be in the Greenville Cemetery.
