MR. LONNIE ARRINGTON Mr. Lonnie Arrington, 90, of Senoia, died Sunday, April 11, 2010, at the VA Medical Center in Decatur. A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, April 18, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville, with the Reverend Paul Stitcher, the Reverend Jody Mitchell, and the Reverend Joel Youngblood officiating. Burial, with military honors, will be at Shady Oak Cemetery at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church in Heard County. Mr. Arrington was born September 1, 1919, in Heard County, son of the late Otis and Frances Wilson Arrington. An Army veteran of World War Two, he lived in Coweta County most of his life, was Baptist by faith, and was a retired saw miller. Survivors include is daughter and son in-law, Betty and Ronald Dewberry of Newnan; son, Junior Arrington of Newnan; two brothers, Harvey Arrington of Franklin and Holland Arrington of Sharpsburg; 16 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Maggie Crawford Arrington; and his son, Larry Lonnie Arrington, Bobby Ray Arrington, and Billy Crawford. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Visitation: from 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., Sunday, April 18th, at Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home Services: 2:00 p.m., Sunday, April 18th, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home Interment: Shady Oak Cemetery at Wesley Chapel Church in Heard County
