Lois Smith Sivell

MRS. LOIS SMITH SIVELL

Mrs. Lois Smith Sivell, 74 of Lanett and formerly of LaGrange, passed away Thursday, August 3, 2023, at her home.

Born September 20, 1948 in Troup County, Mrs. Sivell was the daughter of the late Nick Howard Smith and Maudie Mae Hester Smith. She spent most of her life in LaGrange, was Baptist by faith, and would talk about God and the Bible every chance she got. Mrs. Sivell was caring and loving and affectionately known as "Nanny" by her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed her coffee and cigarettes and always had time to "gossip" on the front porch.

Survivors include her son and daughter in-law, Alton and Molly Sivell of LaGrange; daughter, Crystal Sivell of Lanett; grandchildren, Chris Sivell, Hailey Wilson, Damian Wilson, and Cameron Gravitt; great-grandchildren, Aiden, Maxwell, Everett, Jayce, and Charleigh; and her sister, Jeannie Grizzard of Griffin. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Sivell was preceded in death by her brothers, Curtis Smith, David Smith, Nick Smith, and Douglas Smith.

In keeping with Mrs. Sivell's wishes, no services are planned at this time.
