MRS. LIZZIE LOUISE BURSON Mrs. Lizzie Louise Rains Burson, 83, of Hogansville, died Thursday, August 13, 2009, at Hospice LaGrange. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 15, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Wesley Boatman will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Burson was born February 8, 1926, in Fulton County, daughter of the late Johnny and Nettie Wilson Rains. A resident of Hogansville since 1945, she had attended First Baptist Church of Hogansville and was a retired seamstress. Survivors include her daughter and son in-law, Kathy and Billy McGhee of Hogansville; brothers and sisters in-law, Sam and Shirley Rains of Douglasville and James and Joan Rains of Fayetteville; sisters in-law, Louise Rains of Locust Grove, Dorothy Jones of Hogansville and Elizabeth Burson of Knoxville, TN; grandchildren, Samantha McGhee, William McGhee, Beverly Tyler, Michael Burson, Stephanie Robinson, Erica Pike, Brittany Burson, and Brandi Burson; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Knox H. Burson; son, Walter Polk Burson; infant sister, Dorothy Dean Rains; and brother, B. K. Rains. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Visitation: from 6 until 9 Friday night, August 14th, at Claude A.
