Lisa Toney Townsend

Mrs. Lisa Toney Townsend, 48, of Hogansville, passed away Sunday, January 8, 2017, at her home. Mrs. Townsend was born August 22, 1968, in Troup County, was raised in Texas, and returned to live in Troup County in 1993. Employed as a CNA for a number of years, she loved nursing and caring for her patients, enjoyed reading, and was Baptist by faith. She was a loving wife, mother, and daughter and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Survivors include her husband, Terry Townsend of Hogansville; her children, Jason Townsend and his wife Ashley, Justin Townsend and his wife Meagan, and Jamie Townsend, all of LaGrange; her mother and father, Harold and Ann Toney of Hogansville; sisters, Kim Carty and her husband Will of Red Oak, TX, Angela Wood of Corsicana, TX; brother, Christopher Toney of Polk City, FL; four grandchildren and one to arrive soon; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. A memorial service will be conducted at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, January 15, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville, with the Reverend Wesley King officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3 until 4, Sunday afternoon. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
