MRS. LINDA K. MARTINEZ Mrs. Linda Kee Martinez, age 60, of Newnan, died Monday, May 9, 2011, at Piedmont Newnan Hospital. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 12, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Brad Brimlow will officiate and interment will be in the Grantville Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Wednesday night. Mrs. Martinez was born August 27, 1950, in Newnan, and lived in Houston, Texas from 1976 until returning to Coweta County last year. She worked a number of years for Gulf Oil Company, retired from Continental Airlines, and had been involved in the foreign exchange student program, having hosted a number of students. She loved to sew, enjoyed traveling and was a member of First Baptist Church of Grantville. Survivors include her husband, Antonio Martinez, Jr. of Newnan; her mother, Mary Alice Kee of Grantville; sisters and brothers in-law, Marie and Gary Cauthen of Newnan, Yvette and Bob Haralson of Pounding Mill, VA; brother and sister in-law, Bill and Delores Kee of Grantville; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Lemuel (Lem) Kee. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
