Mrs. Linda Nell McVeigh Manning, age 69, was born on May 17, 1957, in LaGrange, to the late Barbara Alice Prophitt Daniel and Richard McVeigh.
Linda accepted Christ at an early age and carried her faith throughout her life. She married the love of her life, Robert Greston Manning Jr., at the young age of 16. Their marriage was a beautiful testament to love, devotion, and commitment, lasting 52 years until God called her home on June 5, 2026.
Linda was a proud and dedicated woman who valued education and caring for others. In 1982, she became an Honor Graduate of Troup Tech in Radiologic Technology, an accomplishment that reflected her determination, intelligence, and compassionate spirit.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose kindness and dedication to her family touched the lives of many. Linda cherished time spent with her loved ones and leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, strength, and treasured memories.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Barbara Alice Prophitt Daniel; her grandmother, Rosa Prophitt; her brothers, James McVeigh and Johnny Wade Duffee; her mother-in-law, Mary Lee Brown; and her brother-in-law, Tony Hasty.
Left to cherish her memory and celebrate her life are her devoted husband, Robert Greston Manning Jr.; her son, Robert (Bre Norris) Manning; her daughter, Mary (Tyree) Jackson; her sister, Carol (Danny) Stogner; her brother, Roland (Tammy) Daniel; twelve grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and dear friends.
The funeral service will be conducted at 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 9, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Mary Edwards will officiate and interment will be in Hillview East Cemetery in LaGrange.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday, June 8.

Linda’s life was one of faith, love, and unwavering devotion to those she held dear. Though her presence will be deeply missed, the memories she created and the love she shared will forever live in the hearts of all who knew her.
