Linda Lawhorn Cole

Mrs. Linda Lawhorn Cole, 63, of Hogansville, passed away Friday, April 15, 2016, at Wellstar West Georgia Medical Center. Mrs. Cole was born October 18, 1952, in Troup County, daughter of the late Curtis Lawhorn and Myrtle Clark Lawhorn Stewart. A resident of Arkansas for a number of years, she returned to Troup County in 1989 and was a member of Highland Baptist Church. Survivors include her sons and daughter in-law, Allen and Kandy Cole of Hogansville, David Cole of LaGrange; grandchildren, Dustin Cole, Mary Mae Cole, Christopher Cole, Rayne Cole, Allyssa Cole, and Crystal Coggins; great-grandchildren, Kylie Cole, Layah Cole, Christian Cole, Noah Coggins, Axel Coggins; sister in-law, Debra Lawhorn; and niece, Tracy McElvy and her husband, Joseph. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Michael Cole; and her brother, David Lawhorn. The family will host a memorial service at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, April 21, at Highland Baptist Church in Hogansville, with the Reverend Terry Rainwater officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 1 until 2 Thursday afternoon. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
