Linda Mapp Carter

Mrs. Linda Mapp Carter, 66, of LaGrange, passed away Friday, June 7, 2024, at her home.

Mrs. Carter was born May 10, 1958, in Atlanta, daughter of the late Jerry Lee Mapp and Gene Autrey Mapp. A resident of LaGrange for the past four years, she had served as a leader in Scouting programs in order to be with her grandchildren and was known to have a big heart and to enjoy serving as a caregiver to others.

Survivors include her children, Kristen McCartney, Ricky Allman, and Kimberly Stanley, all of LaGrange; her brother, Tim Mapp of Gordon; her grandchildren, Aiyanna McCartney, Caolin McCartney, Torin McCartney, Dylan Tesch, and Desiree Allman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Pamela Spradlin and her brother, John Mapp.

The family is planning a memorial service and those plans will be announced later.
