Lewis David ("Ld") Touchston, Sr.

LEWIS D. TOUCHSTON, SR. Mr. Lewis David ("LD") Touchston, Sr., 75, of Gay, died Tuesday, April 17, 2012, at his home. Mr. Touchston was born June 26, 1936, in Brooks County, GA, son of the late Irvin Reason Touchston and the late Frances Louise Gibbs Touchston Douglas Eady. An Army veteran of the Korean War, he was a former resident of Senoia and had lived in Meriwether County for the past eleven years. He was a retired self-employed minister, steel-worker and carpenter and was a member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Winston. Survivors include his wife, Pat Martin Touchston of Gay; sister in-law, Pam Alford of Gay; sons, Robert Touchston and his wife, Diana of Palm Bay, FL, Lewis David Touchston, Jr. and his wife, Rachel of Carrollton, Levin James Touchston and his wife, Ashley of Ramstein Air Base in Germany; daughters, Wanda Touchston of Austell, Jane Reynolds and her husband, Johnny of Bogart; sisters and brothers and their spouses, Reba Grace and Larry Brooks of Enigma, Elaine Douglas, Delbert and Clari Douglas, Hayward and Faye Douglas, all of Sumner, Sandra and Havard Harris of Crossnore, NC, Gwen and Jim Nichols of Delhi, LA, Louise and David Turner, Ruthie Brewer, and Jerry Touchston, all of Phenix City, AL; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister, Hazel O'Quinn. In keeping with Mr. Touchston's wishes, the body has been cremated and no memorial service will be held. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements.
