MR. LEWIS C. STEWARD, JR.
Mr. Lewis Chandler Steward, Jr., 90, of Dawsonville, passed away Friday, February 6, 2015, at West Georgia Medical Center in LaGrange.
Mr. Steward was born September 20, 1924, in Memphis, TN, son of the late Lewis Chandler Steward and Mary Reed Steward. He was a longtime resident of Dawsonville and the North Atlanta area and was a retired building contractor, having owned Lewis Built Homes. He was a U. S. Navy veteran of World War Two and was a member of Oakland City United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his daughter, Donna Steward Arnold of Hogansville; son, Mark Chandler Steward and his wife, Deborah of Stockbridge; grandchildren, Chris Shuford who served as his primary caregiver, Allison Whitehead, and Andrea Thigpen; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Reinshagen Steward.
The family will plan a graveside memorial service at a later time in Memphis Memorial Park Cemetery in Memphis, TN.
