MR. TRAVIS PLANT Mr. Lewis Travis Plant, 69, of McDonough and formerly of Luthersville, died Sunday, November 27, 2011, at Sacred Journey Hospice in McDonough. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 1, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Charles Grovenstein will officiate and interment will be in the Luthersville Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4 until 6 Wednesday evening. Born February 7, 1942, in Luthersville, Mr. Plant was the son of the late Murray and Henrietta Johnson Plant. He retired from the U.S. Navy, where he served as a jet aircraft mechanic, and lived at Luthersville most of his life. He was a member of Luthersville United Methodist Church. Survivors include his brothers and sister in-law, Milton and Isabel Plant of McDonough and Gregory Plant of Luthersville; and two nieces, Nancy Plant Howell and Gail Barber Aydin. Claude A.
