Mr. Lewis H. "Bubba" Booker, Jr., 73, of Vestavia, Alabama, passed away Friday, August 11, 2017, at University of Alabama Medical Center in Birmingham.
Born October 19, 1943 in LaGrange, Mr. Booker was the son of the late Lewis and Frances Word Booker. A graduate of the University of Georgia, he retired as a senior sales representative for Sanofi-Aventis US. He lived in the Birmingham area for many years and was a member of Dawson Memorial Baptist Church in Homewood.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Booker of Vestavia; daughter, Frances Booker Farbizio and her husband Arthur Farbizio of Powder Springs; son Lewis H. "Bo" Booker III and his wife Mary Lauridson of Marietta; granddaughter, Haley Booker-Lauridson; sister in-law, Nancy Miles; and three nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Davis W. Booker.
The funeral service will be conducted at 3:30 p.m., Saturday, August 19, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Frank Powers and Ralph Hill will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Hogansville.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:00 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. Saturday.
