LAURIE THOMPSON PHIPPEN

Mrs. Laurie Thompson Phippen, age 67, of Hogansville, passed away Monday, July 13, 2026, at her home.

Mrs. Phippen was born May 24, 1959, in Newnan, daughter of the late Wilbur Lee Thompson and Betty Gaddy Thompson Cooper. She loved helping her family, loved fishing and playing cards, loved animals, and was known as the "Ball Field Mom" at the Grantville Recreation Department. Laurie enjoyed working and had worked in dry cleaning, landscaping, and home remodeling.

Survivors include her husband, Michael Phippen; sons, Tim Crawford (Sharyn Dyer) and Michael Smith, all of Hogansville; grandchildren, Jenny Crawford, Angie Crawford, Timothy Crawford, Jr., Tommy Crawford; great-granddaughter, Cheyenne; and her brother, Danny Thompson (Belinda) of Moreland.

The funeral service will be conducted at 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 21, at the graveside in Southview Cemetery in Moreland, with the Reverend Glenn Whitley officiating.
