MRS. LAURA E. WILLIAMS
Mrs. Laura E. Williams, 96, of Luthersville, died Thursday, June 30, 2011, at Doctor's Hospice in Fayetteville.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, July 3, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Winston Skinner will officiate and interment will be in the Luthersville Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Saturday night.
Mrs. Williams was born February 1, 1915, in Chipley, daughter of the late John Henry Armstrong and the late Myrtie Binns Armstrong. A resident of Luthersville since 1931, she was a member of Luthersville Baptist Church, had been employed by the Luthersville School lunchroom, retired from Lee Manufacturing, and was an avid quilter. She was the wife of the late George A. Williams.
Survivors include her daughter, Laura Dean Hartley of Greenville; son, George A. Williams, Jr. of Luthersville; a brother, John Felton Armstong of Fayetteville; and three grandchildren, Etna Elizabeth Hartley of Marietta, Margaret Denise Hartley of Greenville, and George Lewis Hartley of Atlanta.
Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements.
