Laura Dean Hartley

Mrs. Laura Dean Hartley, 92, of Greenville, passed away Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at her home.

Mrs. Hartley was born April 25, 1932, in Newnan, daughter of the late George A. Williams, Sr. and Laura Armstrong Williams. A resident of Marietta for 27 years, she had served as a kindergarten teacher and had been a member of LaBelle Heights Baptist Church. She had lived in Meriwether County since 1983 and was a member of Luthersville United Methodist Church. Mrs. Hartley was an avid quilter and loved her cats and other pets.

Survivors include her daughters, Etna Elizabeth Hartley of Luthersville and Margaret Denise Hartley of Greenville; and her son, George Lewis Hartley and Manny Burgos Hartley, of Greenville.

The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Monday, February 10, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. Interment will be in Luthersville Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., Monday, prior to the service.
