LAURA JAMES DEESE Mrs. Laura James Deese-Nall, 74, of Marietta, died Saturday, November 10, 2012, at her home. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 14, at the graveside in the Luthersville Cemetery, with Elder Chris Hill officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m., Wednesday. Mrs. Deese-Nall was born August 1, 1938, in Harris City in Meriwether County, daughter of the late Charles Brady James and Laura Temple James. After graduation from Greenville High School, she moved to Atlanta to begin a banking career at Citizens and Southern National Bank, which later merged with Nationsbank and then Bank of America, where she retired as a trust officer. She was an avid Braves fan and a devoted supporter of local blood drives. Survivors include her husband, David R. Nall III of Marietta; son, Mark Allen Deese and his wife Michelle of Canton; her siblings, Dorothy Wiley and her husband Bill of Laurens, SC, Barbara "Dilsey" Glazier of Manchester, Peggy Pearson and her husband Cecil of Kennesaw, Charles Brady James III of Kennesaw, Nancy Bell of Merritt Isalnd, FL; grandson, Tristan Deese; granddaughters, Savanna and Paige Satterfield; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Elizabeth "Betty" Willingham; and brothers in-law, Joe Glazier, R. B. Willingham, and Charles Bell. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Masonic Children's Home in Macon, or to the Scottish Rite Children's Hospitals. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements. Visitation: from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, November 14th, at Claude A.
