Laura Jane Covin

LAURA COVIN Laura Jane Covin, 59, of Hogansville died Saturday, August 20, 2011 at her home. Born June 11, 1952 in Newnan, Ms. Covin was the daughter of the late James Elmer Covin and Ruth Hutchinson Covin. She was a 1970 graduate of Hogansville High School,and attended Georgia Southern University and LaGrange College. She was employed as a respiratory therapist for many years and then worked as office manager for a commercial printing company. She lived most of her life in Atlanta before moving back to Hogansville several years ago, and was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Hogansville. She is survived by her mother, Ruth Covin of Hogansville; sister and brother in-law, Mary Fox and Mike Fowler of Anderson, SC; brother and sister in-law, David and Carol Covin of Manassas, VA; 4 nephews; 2 great-nephews; and 1 great-niece. She was preceded in death by her father, James Elmer (Fox) Covin. A gathering of friends to celebrate the life of Laura will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m., Sunday, September 25, at No Rush at 212 East Main Street in Hogansville.
