MR. LARRY SHORT, SR. Mr. Larry Short, Sr., 66, of Newnan and formerly of LaGrange, died Wednesday, November 30, 2011, at Piedmont Newnan Hospital. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 3, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Dalton Hammock will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12 noon until 2 Saturday afternoon. Mr. Short was born August 6, 1945, in West Point, son of the late Ruben Thomas Short and the late Annie Ruth Hollis Short. Before making his home in Coweta County earlier this year, he lived in LaGrange most of his life and was a member of The Pentecostal Church of LaGrange. He was employed by the City of LaGrange for many years and also by Belk's of LaGrange. Survivors include his daughter and son in-law, Tori and Rocky Alvarado of Newnan; son and daughter in-law, Larry, Jr. and Brandy Short; step-son and daughter in-law, Randy and Renee′ Driver; sisters, Delores Bailey and Ann Bragg, both of LaGrange; brother, Charles Short, also of LaGrange; and eight grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Teresa Short Arrington and Denise Short Bright. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Visitation: from 12 noon until 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 3rd, at Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home Services: 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 3rd, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home Interment: Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Hogansville
