Larry M. Shipp

MR. LARRY M. SHIPP Mr. Larry Marshall Shipp, 55, of Madison and formerly of Newnan, died Wednesday, May 21, 2014, at Morgan Memorial Hospital in Madison. Mr. Shipp was born June 8, 1958, in Newnan and lived in Coweta County until making his home in Madison in 2007. He was employed more than twenty years at U. S. Can and then was employed at Rite Aid Distribution until his health failed Survivors include his son and daughter in-law, Scott and Amy Michelle Shipp of Madison; daughter, Amy Marie Thompson, also of Madison; his mother, Milton Shipp of Newnan; sister, Tina Lynn Cook and Deborah Darlene Settle, both of Newnan, Melody Louise Newman of Whitesburg; and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Linley Shipp. The funeral service will be conducted at 11:30 a.m., Friday, May 23, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Jerry Hicks will officiate and interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Newnan. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 until 9 Thursday night. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements.
