MR. LARRY D. PETERS Mr. Larry D. Peters, 61, of Hogansville, died Thursday, January 5, 2012, at West Georgia Medical Center. A memorial service will be conducted at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, January 7, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Paul Carter will officiate and inurnment will be at Restlawn Memory Gardens in LaGrange. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2 until 4 Saturday afternoon. Mr. Peters was born February 10, 1950, in Atlanta, and was a veteran of service in the U. S. Army. He had lived in Hogansville for a number of years and was self-employed in apartment maintenance. Survivors include his wife, Alberta Peters of Hogansville; sons, Larry Peters, Pete Peters, Joseph Peters, Tim Langford, and Lee Mitchum, Jr.; daughters, Connie Hall and Alberta Lyons; his mother and step-father, Betty and Grady Turner of College Park; sisters, Linda Carter and Tammy Pruitt; aunt, Joyce Samples; uncle, Edward Patrick; and multiple grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Visitation: from 2 until 4 Saturday afternoon, January 7th, at Claude A.
