Mr. Larry G. Craig, 79, of LaGrange, passed away Monday, September 2, 2019, at Hospice LaGrange.
Mr. Craig was born May 3, 1940, in Hammond, Indiana, son of the late Grover Eugene Craig and Maxine Bussart Craig. A veteran of service in the U.S. Army, he retired as an over-the-road truck driver for West Point Pepperell with more than two million safe driving miles. He was Methodist by faith was a member of Elm City Masonic Lodge and had received his 50-year Masonic pin.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret Craig, son, Mike Craig and Debra Colley; daughter, Lisa and Robert Davis, all of LaGrange; sisters, Carol Ann and Harold Stepp of Melbourne, Florida, Bonnie and Ralph Dixon of Rockford, Michigan; grandchildren, Jennifer and Brandon Cavender of LaGrange, Steven and Shelby Davis of Canton, Justin and Alecia Craig of Chipley, FL, Rachel and Matt Sprayberry of LaGrange, and Cheyenne Colley of LaGrange; and great-grandchildren, Madison Cavender, Jace Cavender, Sophia Davis, Aaron Chesnutt, Arabella Sprayberry, and Hoyt Michael Craig.
A memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 7, at the graveside in Restlawn Memory Gardens in LaGrange, with the Reverend Jimmy McMillian, the Reverend Bob Humphries, and the Reverend David McDaniel officiating. The family will greet friends at the graveside.
