Mr. Larry G. Bassett, 71, of LaGrange and formerly of Warm Springs, passed away Monday, March 18, 2019, at Insignia of Newnan.
Mr. Bassett was born November 1, 1947, in Cragford, Alabama and lived in Warm Springs for more than fifty years. He was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Manchester. He owned and operated Mack's Wheel Alignment in LaGrange prior to his retirement. Larry was an avid fisherman, was a certified scuba diver, and enjoyed all water-related activities. He also loved old cars, music, and buying and selling real estate.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Linda Pike Bassett of LaGrange; son and daughter in-law, Chad and Martha Bassett of Cleveland, TN; daughter and son in-law, Lisa and Shane Kinsey of Kodak, TN; his mother, Mary B. Railey of Greenville; sisters and brothers, Mary Faye and Waymond Bulloch of Warm Springs, Dian and Lamar Chastain of Gay, Steve and Mindy Bassett of Woodbury Tracie and Ferrell Blair of LaGrange; and grandchildren, Colton Kinsey, Kayli Kinsey, Jessica Bassett. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Laura Bassett, father, Robert F. Bassett; sister, Brenda Caldwell; step-father, Harry Railey;.
The family will host a memorial celebration of Larry's life at Welcome All Baptist Church in Hogansville at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 23.
