Mr. Lance D. Dorrough, 73, of Hogansville, passed away Saturday, January 13, 2024, at his home.
Mr. Dorrough was born August 29, 1950, in Hogansville, son of the late Oliver Austin Dorrough and Bonnie Kidd Dorrough. A resident of Hogansville most of his life, he served in Vietnam in the U.S. Army and later owned and operated Delaton Service Corporation in LaGrange. He was an ordained minister, served as a deacon of Springhill Baptist Church in Hogansville, was an avid Georgia Bulldog fan, and enjoyed golf, playing several times each week.
Survivors include his wife, Debi Dorrough of Hogansville; daughter and son in-law, Toni and Randall White and grandchildren, T.J. White and Isabel White, all of Monticello; brothers and sisters, Bonnie Sue Arrington (her late husband Curtis Arrington), Larry and Bobbie Dorrough, and Tommy Dorrough, all of Hogansville, Darla Faye and R.C. Davis of Savannah, and Brenda of Texas; and numerous aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Monday, January 15, at Springhill Baptist Church. The Reverend Jody Mitchell and the Reverend Eddie Perry will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Sunday.
