Lamar Haynes

Mr. Lamar Haynes, 78, of Woodbury, passed away Tuesday, September 6, 2016, at Warm Springs Nursing Home. Mr. Haynes was born February 18, 1938, in Newnan, son of the late Horace and Birdie Stancil Haynes. A long-time resident of Luthersville and Woodbury, he was a self-employed diesel mechanic, enjoyed working on cars, and was Baptist by faith. Survivors include his daughter, Kathy Winkles of Newnan; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Friday, September 9, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. Brother Ed White will officiate and interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Newnan. T The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. Friday afternoon. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
