Ms. Kim Smith Shirah, 63, of Hogansville, passed away Wednesday, March 9, 2022, at her home.
Ms. Shirah was born November 6, 1958, in LaGrange, daughter of the late Elizabeth Brown Smith and Arthur E. "Buddy" Smith, Jr. A graduate of LaGrange College, she retired after a long career as a registered nurse, and then began a new career as a loving and doting grandmother to Gracie. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church.
Survivors include her son, Ethan Shirah and his wife, Megan of Prattville, AL; sisters, Amy Chapman and Monique Bonner, both of Hogansville, and Renea Bailey of Prattville; her granddaughter, Gracie Shirah; and a number of nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, March 12, at Antioch Baptist Church in Hogansville. Pastor Alan Kirk will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday, March 11.
