Kim Moon

Mrs. Kim "Nannie" Moon, 64 of Hogansville, passed away Thursday, December 28, 2023, at Wellstar West Georgia Medical Center.

Born July 24, 1959 in Grand Rapids, MI, Mrs. Moon was the daughter of the late Bruce Stevens, Sr and Dottie Faye Hester Stevens. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church in LaGrange, was a lifelong resident of Hogansville, and enjoyed making flower arrangements for family and friends. Mrs. Moon worked in the cafeteria with the Troup County School System for over 30 years and ran concessions stands for Troup County Parks and Recreation for the last 7 years.

Survivors include her son, James (Lum) Moon, Jr. and his wife Heather; daughter, Jessica Jones and her husband Wayne; sister, Kerry Sinns and her husband Mark, all of Hogansville; brother, Bruce Stevens and his wife, Tracie of Lanett, Al; grandchildren, Christian Moon, Jonathan Moon (Haven), Jay Jones, Jonah Moon, Jackson Jones, Jordan Jones, Gracie Jones; great-grandchildren, Juli Moon and Langston Moon; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Moon was preceded in death by her husband, Reverend James Moon, on August 16.

The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 30, in the chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home. The Reverend Trace Lasher and James Moon, Jr. will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Hogansville.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Saturday, prior to the service.
