Kenneth Shawn (Kenny) Irvin

MR. KENNY IRVIN Mr. Kenneth Shawn (Kenny) Irvin, 36, of Hogansville, died Tuesday, November 6, 2012, at his home. Born November 5, 1976, in Sumter, SC, Mr. Irvin lived in East Point before making his home in Hogansville earlier this year. He was a member of Mars Hill Baptist Church and was employed as an auto mechanic. He was an Ironman fan and enjoyed NASCAR racing. Survivors include his sons, Eddie Irvin of Carrollton, Shawn Irvin of Hogansville, Justin Irvin of Tallapoosa; his father and step-mother, Terry and Anna Irvin of Bowdon; his fiancee′, Jeana Jackson of Hogansville and her children Emily, Katelyn and Hope; brother and sister in-law, Cliff and Jenny Irvin of Temple and their daughter, Mylee; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother, Wendy Worley Irvin, and his wife, Patty Irvin. A memorial service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, November 10, at the First Baptist Church of Hogansville, with the Reverend Clinton Hughes and the Reverend Terry Wofford officiating. Interment will be in Mars Hill Baptist Church Cemetery at Carrollton. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:30 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., Saturday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to assist the family with funeral expenses. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
